Important Dates for Abstract Submission

  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: 23:59, June 22, 2018 (GMT+8)
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 23:59, July 22, 2018 (GMT+8)
  • Presenting author of an accepted abstract should register and complete the full payment prior to 23:59, August 10, 2018 (GMT+8), in order to be included in the program of ACE 2018.

Abstract Submission Guideline

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Abstracts must contain no more than 350 words.
  • Title should not contain more than 30 words
  • The abstracts should be informative. Clearly state background and aims, methods, results and conclusions of study.
  • No images, tables or graphs are allowed in abstract submission.
  • After the submission deadline, no further changes are permitted to be made to abstracts.
  • Authors are strongly advised to ensure the accuracy of the submitted abstracts. Any mistakes in literature or in scientific facts will be published as what is typed.
  • The presentation can be in the format of oral, video or poster presentation.
  • The Scientific Committee of the ACE 2018 reserves the right to accept or refuse an abstract, to designate abstracts either oral, video or poster presentation and to choose a suitable session for the abstract. The authors’ preference of the type of the presentation and theme will be taken into account.

Copyright & Legal Obligation

  • All information in the abstract submission, including authors’ names, affiliations, authors order of listing, and the content of abstract, will be used in the congress publications.
  • The contributor carries legal obligations of the abstract; any violation to a third party’s right will be the responsibility of the contributor him/herself.
  • ACE 2018 has the copyright to use the abstract in the congress for scientific purposes without any prior notice to the contributor/authors.

Abstracts Submission


Recommended poster size: A0 / 90cm*180cm high
Board dimensions are 103cm*240cm


Each poster should contain the following:

  • A short, descriptive title (no abbreviations)
  • Full names of all contributing author(s)
  • Author(s)’ affiliations
  • An introduction laying out the purpose of the presentation
  • A narrative (methods, materials, results)
  • Conclusions (clear and simple, emphasizing implications for practice)

Recommended Font Sizing

  • At least 60pt for the title.
  • At least 44pt for the authors/affiliations and possible headings of sections.
  • At least 36pt for the body text.
  • The poster should be readable from 2 to 3 meters distance.

Poster Display Area Location

All posters will be displayed in the Poster Area.
Posters must be mounted to the poster board you have been designated with in the poster display area.

Mounting Your Poster

09:00-10:00, Friday 14th September

The Conference organizers will provide suitable fixing materials, and on-site assistance will be available to help you display your poster.

Poster Presentation

We encourage you to standby during the poster presentation
Be prepared to use your Poster paper presentation to explain the work described and to answer specific questions.
It may be helpful to have copies of backup material or copies of a written paper to hand out to viewers who may want to study aspects of your work in more detail.
Commercial messages will not be tolerated.

Removing Your Poster

10:00-12:00 Sunday 16th September

All material must be removed by the owner of the poster at the end of the presentation. The Conference organizers cannot accept responsibility for any material left behind. The organizers are not responsible for loss or damage. Posters left on site at the end of the Conference will be recycled without further notice.

Allocated presentation time

8 minutes per presenter (6 minutes presentation plus 2 minutes Q&A).
Please check the presentation schedule on the website to ensure on time arrival at your designated room.


The onsite presentation system is Microsoft Office system compatible. If you are using MAC Keynote, it is recommended that you convert your slides to PowerPoint format. For optimal viewing, please prepare slide text in English with an aspect ratio of 4:3 and use a 24-point font for body text and 36-point font for headings.

All oral session meeting rooms are equipped with the following audiovisual equipment:

  • A lectern computer workstation (Windows-based)
  • Lectern microphone
  • A slide advancer

Speaker Ready Room

All speakers must upload your presentation to the conference computer in Speaker Ready Room (203 A) 4 hours prior to the start of your session. Do not bring a laptop or other media device directly to the session room.

When checking in, please bring a copy of your presentation on a USB storage device to allow for transfer to a conference computer. When reviewing your presentation in the Speaker Ready Room, make sure all fonts, images, and animations appear as expected and that all audio or video clips are working properly.
